Click 'Show Settings' to open the name management panel. In the 'Add New Name' section, type a name and click 'Add' or press Enter. The name will automatically be added to your wheel with a random color. You can add unlimited names this way.
Yes! You can edit and delete custom names you've added. Click the edit button (✏️) to rename a custom name, or the delete button (🗑️) to remove it. Default names (Alice, Bob, Charlie, etc.) cannot be edited or deleted, but you can unselect them from the wheel.
In the settings panel, you'll see all available names with checkboxes. Click on any name to add or remove it from your wheel. Selected names have a purple background and checkmark. The wheel updates instantly as you make changes.
The quick buttons save you time: 'Random 8' selects 8 random names for variety, 'Select All' adds every available name, 'Select None' clears your selection to start fresh, and 'Show/Hide Settings' toggles the management panel. These buttons make it easy to quickly set up your wheel.
Yes! Use the search box in the settings panel to quickly find names. This is especially useful when you have many custom names added. Just type part of the name and the list will filter to show matching results.
To give you a great starting experience! The wheel automatically selects 8 diverse names from the default collection when you first load the page. This gives you a balanced selection to start spinning right away, while you can always customize it further by adding your own names.
If no names are selected, the wheel will show 'Add Names to Spin!' and won't be clickable. You need at least one name for the wheel to function. Use the 'Random 8' button for a quick start, or manually select names from the settings panel.
You can select as many names as you want! The wheel automatically adjusts the segment size and text size based on your selection. With more names, segments become smaller but everything remains readable. We recommend 5-20 names for the best visual experience, but the wheel works with any number.
Your names are temporarily saved in your browser session, so they'll persist while you use the page. However, if you refresh or close the browser, custom names will be lost and you'll start with the default names again. You can quickly re-add your favorite names using the add name feature.
